Sellout.
Uhhhh, excuse me, but since when does supporting Senator McCain make someone a sellout? I, for one, haven’t yet decided who gets my vote in November. I may not always agree with what Sen. McCain has to say or what he stands for (in fact, I often do not), but I ALWAYS respect the man. Voicing support for a man with a long record based on integrity and speaking what he feels is right over what is popular, and a resume with a heck of a lot of cross-party accomplishments, does NOT make someone a sellout. Let me ask you this — are you slagging AZspot for the explicit support of McCain or the fact that he (she?) probably isn’t voting for Obama?
I know there are many, many Obama supporters here on Tumblr. But not all of us share those opinions. Some, like me, are still genuinely undecided. Some have openly voiced their support for another candidate. You can use your own tumblelog for promoting your own candidate and views. But please, allow the rest of us to make up our own minds without having to worry about MORE self-righteous determinism from Obama and his supporters.
(BTW, I apologize if this slagging to AZspot was all in good humor. And Squashed, you know I love you — this isn’t directed at you specifically. It’s coming more out of a sense of fatigue from reactions from friends and family and coworkers when I tell them that I am still undecided. First that look of disbelief, then a 2-10 minute barrage of reasons why I am a) foolish, b) uninformed, c) a traitor to my country for not flat out voting for and actively campaigning for Obama. Sorry, I’m just not convinced either way yet.)
